BUYING PROPERTY IN THE ALPS

Buy bricks and mortar because in the long term it's the most stable investment !!!
The average PP (property plonker) like myself starts getting  these wise thoughts of buying a second home when you've stored a few bucks under the mattress. 
You think mmmmmm....... maybe a cozy wooden chalet in that quaint little ski resort may just be what I need to relax and start taking it easy ..........
my ski's in the garage, clothes already waiting for me in the cupboard, my favourite wines in the cellar, no worrying about where to go on holiday or booking too late. 
Yes a lock up and go place all to ourselves !!!!!!
Some advice book a month in the most luxurious hotel you can find on this planet because it will still work out cheaper than owing that lovely little chalet.  You'll also have the best holiday of your life as you won't be repairing the plumbing, repainting, digging the snow and trying to rent it out when you are not there to cover all the bills.

Gone off the idea already well there is a solution to avoid the nightmares of owning a holiday home but still benefit from buying bricks and mortar and still have a relaxing holiday. It's called fractional ownership. Sounds like shared ownership ???
That's exactly what it is but the beauty of it is that you share only the pleasures of that cosy wooden chalet and the capital appreciation not the hassles of maintaining it as you have someone else to do that for you.
Sound like a new fancy name for time-share. That's exactly what it isn't as time-share never appreciates as you don't own bricks and mortar you only own time.
Interested well put fractional ownership in your Google box and you'll see what I mean. Watch out for the management fees they can be the downside.
